Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan

Pinaca India spearheaded the Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyan campaign for the Directorate of Social Welfare, Women, and Child Development, Chandigarh, with a focus on enhancing nutritional outcomes for pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children. This impactful campaign garnered significant recognition, earning two state-level awards: the Best Social Media Campaign Award and the Maximum Reach Across All Themes Award.

  • Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2018: Won two state-level awards for Best Social Media Campaign and Maximum Reach Across All Themes.

  • Rashtriya Poshan Pakhwada 2019: The Ministry of Women and Child Development, GoI, recognized Chandigarh’s Community Engagement Strategies as Best Practices, requesting their sharing across states.

  • Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2019: National-level appreciation for components like Poshan Haats and Poshan Choupals.

  • Innovative Campaigns: Launched creative social media initiatives, including the "Each One Feed One Challenge" to highlight nutrition’s importance.

  • Rashtriya Poshan Pakhwada 2020: Adapted swiftly to online platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic, organising 1200+ events and sessions within a fortnight.

  • Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2021: Conducted 97,000 events and awareness activities in collaboration with various departments over 30 days.

    Key Initiatives

  • Mobile Anganwadi Vans: Deployed to Anganwadi Centres for wider outreach.

  • Community Engagement: Organized Poshan Marathons, Cycle Rallies, and Flash Mobs to drive a Jan Andolan.

  • Health Interventions: Conducted Anaemia Check-Up Camps and workshops under the Anaemia Free Chandigarh Mission.

  • Inclusive Awareness: Hosted special camps in Indian Sign Language for persons with speech and auditory impairments.

  • Social Media Strategy: Engaged the public through challenges and extensive media coverage.

  • Support Services: Launched a toll-free helpline for Suvidha, Sujhaav, and Shikayat.

  • Nutrition Programs: Initiated the Supplementary Nutrition Program and set up Kitchen Gardens in Anganwadi Centres.

  • Monitoring Health: Issued Poshan Mulyankan Cards to monitor the health of SAM and MAM children.
