Impact Assessment Study for the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana

The policy team at Pinaca India conducted an Impact Assessment Study for the Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana in the Sirmaur and Solan districts of Himachal Pradesh. A team of 24 field investigators was sent on the ground to collect the data pertaining to the scheme. The interview schedule helped the field investigators gather data regarding the scheme’s pervasiveness, performance, and impact in the target districts based on the 10 monitorable indicators of the scheme. Pictures from the field assisted in providing a real picture of the field. A detailed project report was submitted to the Directorate for the Empowerment of Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Minorities and the Specially Abled, Himachal Pradesh (ESOMSA), and the NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS). Additionally, narratives were also collected from the respondents to gather their individual experiences of the scheme and its impact on their lives over the 10 years during which the scheme was implemented.
